SMILE CITY partners MET and PROTECH hosted other consortium members in Vilnius, Lithuania on 9-11 September, 2025, to collaborate on several subtasks of the project and to show their facilities.
The Applied Research Institute for Prospective Technologies (PROTECH) is a private non-profit research institute, and Modern E-Technologies (MET) a high-tech company specializing in the development and commercialization of advanced technologies for renewable energy, energy storage, and electronics. On Day 1 of the meeting, participants visited the facilities of these two organisations to learn more about photovoltaic panels and how PROTECH’s and MET’s work benefits the project. Clean energy was also a focal point during the next two days of programme, with more discussions on PV panels and batteries. The results of already tested materials were shared and more materials to test in the future identified.
