Five SMILE CITY partners met in Rome on 14 July, 2025, to discuss the implementation and coordination of eco-design efforts within the project, as well as the Life Cycle analyses (LCA, LCC, S-LCA) and related activities. The objective was to stimulate a critical discussion on the different approaches to follow for sustainability analyses, in particular the social dimension, to valorise synergies, reduce efforts, and avoid duplication and inconsistencies.
As many of the project subtasks related to these topics only officially begin in January of 2026, the meeting was also a great opportunity to organise and plan the activities as well as define a shared approach to partner cooperation.
